For Ayden's birthday party with his friends we reserved the Brookside wading pool for an hour and reserved a nearby shelter for afterwards. We had his party later on the Sunday afternoon before his birthday (Wednesday the 29th). I was worried about the weather because it had been a little cool the week before his party, but on the day of his party it warmed up and I think it was about 80 degrees. The kids had fun playing in the wading pool, and afterwards we went over to the shelter where Joel grilled up some hot dogs and hamburgers for everyone. We also had drinks, chips, snacks, and of course, cupcakes! Our friend Jenny (Ben's mom) and her family were getting ready to move to Pennsylvania in a few days so it was the last time we got to see them before they moved.

The party was a lot of fun, and I'm so glad the weather was nice. Thanks to all our friends and everyone that helped us celebrate Ayden turning 4!
