ISU Dairy Farm Tour

The ISU Dairy Farm has a day each summer where they give tours to the public for free. We took the boys last year and it was fun, and Ayden really enjoyed it. They have free food, ice cream, milk, donuts, juice, yogurt, etc. Also, you can see how they milk the cows, and you can get on a wagon and they will take you through all the cow barns and your tour guide will explain all about the farm and other neat facts. I learned a lot! Our first tour guide turned out to be my sister and her husband's college friend, Lucas. He now works and lives at the house on the dairy farm. It was great seeing him and getting to talk to him for a few minutes. He also said if I ever wanted to bring the boys again for a tour to let him know and he would be happy to show us around. He's such a nice guy! Ayden insisted we go on a second tour and we had to sit at the front both times. He loved looking at all the cows, and Cael kept mooing during the tour:) After the tour of the barns they also had a few baby cows penned up that you could pet. Cael was really curious about them. Ayden wasn't too sure... It was a fun time and we will definitely be back next year!

Driving through the cow barns.

Cael liked the calf.

The calf loved the bottle of milk.

Ayden loved the ice cream.

He doesn't want to get too close...
